AANHPI Heritage Month Celebrations
The Asian Pacific Islanders Coalition of South Puget Sound, in partnership with local organizations including the City of Olympia and Evergreen State College, has hosted an annual event celebrating Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander American cultures. These gatherings feature a mix of food vendors, live performances, and family-friendly activities, offering something for everyone.
The goal of these AA NHPI Heritage Month events is to highlight and honor the diverse cultures, traditions, and experiences of the Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander American communities across the region. These events are free and open to the public. Keep an eye out for vendor, volunteer, and attendee opportunities each year!

Race Dialogues
Social change begins with self-examination and requires exchanges, dialogues, and civic engagement to actively cultivate an anti-racist community. APIC SPS is committed to the quest of making meaningful social change by inviting the community to come together for skill-building and conversation to better understand and address the racism that exists within our community.
Telling stories that unite, inspire, and empower us is crucial if we are to move forward together, in all our diversity, toward a future where everyone can thrive. You are invited to share your thoughts and stories to help shape a shared vision of our country and future.

Thurston Forward:
A DEI Summit for Progress
We had a wonderful conversation during our May DEI Summit! This event fostered collaborative action among community leaders and individuals who are passionate about making a difference. We invited all who live, work, study, or play in Thurston County and are committed to advocating for marginalized groups to come together and take part in solutions. This summit was an opportunity to engage with others who share a vision for a more inclusive, equitable, and just community.
Check back on our events page in the future to get involved for our 2026 DEI Summit!
