Supporting Immigrant, Refugee, and Undocumented Students & Families
The Puget Sound Educational Service District has put together resources focused on current policies and best practices that address the needs of undocumented students, refugee students, and their families.
The following PDF offers supportive principles and steps to help keep everyone safe and informed while upholding legal rights. It goes over understanding warrants, how to prepare before, during and after an ICE visit, and other related information and resources.
Disclaimer: This guide is for informational purposes only and is not legal advice. Please consult the district’s legal counsel and superintendent for guidance specific to district and board policy. Recent incidents involving U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have led schools to review and clarify their response plans.
