Before APIC SPS became a nonprofit, Lin founded the SOUTH PUGET SOUND chapter of APIC in 2003 and has been collaborating with local community organizations as a part of the Asian Pacific Islanders Coalition of Washington. Lin is excited to dedicate our organization to bridge and strengthen our AA-NH/PI communities through culturally informed outreach, education, and policy advocacy that advance equitable access to health and human services, economic opportunity, civil rights, and education.

Program Supervisor, Beginning Educator Support Team, OSPI
Ting-Ju Tai (戴廷如) is originally from Taiwan and now lives in Lacey with her husband and their cat, Xing Xing. She serves as a Program Supervisor with the Beginning Educator Support Team at OSPI, supporting new teachers and mentors across Washington. With over a decade of experience in education, mentoring, and advising in both the U.S. and Taiwan, she anchors her work in equity, inclusion, and belonging. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, exploring Washington, and connecting with family in Taiwan.

With more than a decade of experience in human resources, equity work, and organizational leadership in public and non-profit organizations in Thurston County, Alana is committed to creating spaces where everyone feels valued and supported. Alana holds a MA in Communication and Leadership from Gonzaga and a BA in Business Administration from Saint Martin's.

World Financial Group Senior Marketing Director (Independent Agent)
Bing has over 20 years of experience in international business and now works as a financial professional, helping clients with education funding, retirement, Medicare, long-term care, and more. She has lived in Lacey, WA for nearly 25 years with her husband and her college-aged son. Bing is also an active community volunteer, having served with organizations such as OACA, APIC SPS, CIE, and various youth groups for over two decades.

Joyleen is a Lacey resident who is passionate about Micronesian and COFA civic engagement. She attended Pacific Islands University and Grace Christian University. She has been involved in the Micronesian Women's Network and is fluent in Chuukese.

Jayachitra Chandrasekaran

President of the India South Sound Association
Jayachitra is a classical bharathanatiyam dancer and entrepreneur who represents the Indian community in Olympia. She is the president and co-founder of the India South Sound Association. Jayachitra has been a resident of Olympia for the past 25 years. Her organization has been inspiring and training young spirits to share Indian culture through dance, yoga, sports, music, drama, youth groups, and community service. She believes that the bonds that unite us are stronger than the barriers that separate us.

Retired education administrator
Donald has been a teacher, career education coordinator, vocational director, principal and superintendent in WA public schools. He has also worked as a university professor in teacher education. Recently he has enjoyed volunteering serving students learning English as a Second Language (ESL) and Second Language Learners (SLL). He have two daughters adopted from foreign countries and is very supported of adoption programs and migrant children relocation programs.

Mario is a regional health system leader strengthening cross-sector partnerships and advancing community-based care. He is honored to serve in the National Community Health Worker (CHW) field contributing to national workforce policy, leadership development, and system integration infrastructure across the United States. His leadership approach emphasizes people first, clear communication, consistency and long-term multigenerational impact.
