She serves as a Program Supervisor with the Beginning Educator Support Team at OSPI, supporting new teachers and mentors across Washington. She is the president and co-founder of the India South Sound Association. Jayachitra has been a resident of Olympia for the past 25 years. Her organization has been inspiring and training young spirits to share Indian culture through dance, yoga, sports, music, drama, youth groups, and community service.
